Europe in Motion

The continent, cut a dozen different ways.

Not categories. 12 queries, each run against all 319 destinations on every build, and each page prints the query that made it. A list somebody curated by hand looks identical to one a query produced — on the day it ships, and never again.

The shape beside each query is the destinations that query actually matched, drawn to the same frame so the twelve can be compared — computed by the same pass that produced the number beside it, so a drawing here cannot show a set the page it links to would not. Why this is not a set of tags

A tag page tells you what carries a label. These ask questions the tags cannot answer on their own: which places have their quieter season in autumn, which lie above 63° north, which score highly for discoverability and are small enough to be villages. The query is the product.
