A travel site can write all of the above and still present a fact somebody checked and a fact nobody checked in exactly the same typeface. Most of them do. Our promise is not that we know everything — it is that you can always tell where something came from.
Four sources. Every claim on this site is one of them, and the difference is visible on the page rather than recorded in a policy nobody reads.
Verified
Checked by a person against a source that is answerable for the fact — a central bank for a currency, a border authority for an entry rule, an operator for its own season. Carries the date it was checked and what it was checked against.
Where it stands: 0 of 50 countries. The honest number, published on the freshness board, and it expires.
Editorial
Written by someone who knows the place, reviewed as a change to this repository, and published under a name. A considered first draft — not a citation-backed reference.
Where it stands: Everything on this site that is not marked otherwise. All 319 destination summaries, every country write-up, every story.
Computed
Derived by a published formula from data we hold: distances, costs, scores, nearest onward stops, seasonal fit. Change the formula and the public page changes with it.
Where it stands: The Europe Experience Score and every estimate the Journey Planner makes. The formula is at /method.
Community
Contributed by a reader or by the business itself. Attributed, and never able to affect ranking.
Where it stands: None yet. Contribution needs accounts, moderation and attribution, and none of the three exists. Nothing on this site is marked community, because nothing is.
