Dry stone walls, Inis Mór

Ireland, where this project is. The register records the country and no finer position — coastline and frontiers from Natural Earth, public domain.

Sixteen hundred kilometres of dry stone wall on an island fourteen kilometres long, built to clear the ground and to make soil out of sand and seaweed. They fall down and are rebuilt by hand or not at all.

What it needs

Wall-building weeks with island masons, and a small fund for the sections along public paths that visitors damage.
