Practical things about Romania that are not obvious from outside it.
- Bears are genuinely present in the Carpathians; do not feed them from a car, which is both illegal and how people get hurt.
- The leu, not the euro.
- Village guesthouses (pensiuni) are the best accommodation in the country and cost very little.
