Practical things about Italy that are not obvious from outside it.
- Coperto is a per-person cover charge and is legal and normal; a tip on top is not expected.
- ZTL zones in historic centres are camera-enforced — never drive in without a hotel permit.
- Churches enforce covered shoulders and knees, including in high summer.
