Cerdà's 1859 blocks were designed with gardens inside; a few have been reopened, and finding them changes how the city reads.
The Camí de Ronda coastal path
A smugglers' and coastguards' path linking coves between Begur and Palamós; it reaches beaches no road does.
Paella where the rice grows
The Albufera lagoon south of the city grows the rice and cooks it over orange wood; lunchtime only, and never in the evening.
